Comprehensive Lactation Services
What does a Lactation Consultant do?
Lactation consultants are relatively new members of
the healthcare field. We are professional breastfeeding specialists
trained to help mothers with a variety of issues. A lactation
consultant may work at a hospital, clinic, or doctor's office.
She may have a private practice. Typically, she helps mothers
and babies with latching difficulties, painful nursing, low milk
production, or inadequate weight gain. She is a teacher as well
as a counselor and helps mothers understand the fundamentals
of lactation as well as supporting their efforts to learn how
to feed their babies. She may teach classes. She may help women
meet their breastfeeding goals in light of special circumstances
such as returning to work or school. She is familiar with breastfeeding
equipment such as breast pumps and other supplies that are helpful
to breastfeeding mothers and infants.

Infant Massage
Research proves that infant massage communicates love, helps interpret baby's needs and strengthens bonding.
Massaging your baby also promotes weight gain, soothes colic, reduces tension, stimulates the immune system, improves
muscle tone and offers numerous other health benefits.
We offer private in-home sessions as well as small group classes. Another option is to arrange a class with two or three friends
with infants: we can tailor the class to your needs and questions.
Classes are taught by a certified infant massage instructor. Please call to schedule an interactive session with your baby.
Dads are always welcome!

Please feel free to [ contact us ] if you have additional questions.
